About 1% for the Planet

1% for the Planet is a global movement inspiring businesses and individuals to support environmental solutions through annual memberships and everyday actions. 1% for the Planet advises by giving strategies, certifying donations and amplifying the impact of their network.

Put simply: they bring people together to increase smart environmental giving.

As a 1% for the Planet member, Molly Ray Parfums donates 1% of our annual sales to support nonprofit organizations focused on the environment. Our membership can be verified in two ways; one, the use of the 1% for the Planet logo is a seal of approval that the member is actively paying their dues and certifying each year. Two, you can verify this on their website's business directory, which only shows active members and can always be referenced! Basically, if a member is not listed, either they have chosen to be private, or they are no longer active. Click here to view our verified active membership >

1% for the Planet is a global organization that exists to ensure our planet and future generations thrive. They inspire businesses and individuals to support environmental nonprofits through membership and everyday actions and make environmental giving easy and effective through partnership advising, impact storytelling, and third-party certification.

"Currently, only 3% of total philanthropy goes to the environment, and only 5% of that comes from businesses. The planet needs bigger support than this, and our growing network of business members is doing its valuable part to increase giving and support on-the-ground outcomes."
-Kate Williams, CEO of 1% for the Planet.

Started in 2002 by Yvon Chouinard, founder of Patagonia, and Craig Mathews, founder of Blue Ribbon Flies, their business members, and individual members have given hundreds of millions of dollars to date to their approved nonprofit partners. Today, 1% for the Planet’s global network consists of thousands of businesses, individuals, and environmental nonprofits working toward a better future for all.
